What areas do you offer waxing for?
GD Vibes offers face, body and intimate waxing treatments for all genders. Intimate waxing includes labia waxing; however, intimate waxing of the shaft and scrotum is not offered due to training restrictions.
What is the difference between warm wax and hot wax?
Warm wax is ideal for larger areas such as the legs, arms, back and chest, allowing treatments to be completed quickly and efficiently. Hot wax is typically used on smaller, more sensitive areas and is particularly effective for coarse or stubborn hair.
Is waxing better than shaving?
Waxing removes hair from the root, providing smoother skin and longer-lasting results than shaving or depilatory creams. Many clients also find that hair regrowth appears softer over time.
What waxing products do you use?
GD Vibes uses premium Wax:One and PHD Safe Wax products. These professional waxes are chosen for their comfort, effectiveness and suitability for sensitive skin.
Is waxing hygienic?
Yes. Strict hygiene standards are followed at all times, including a no double-dipping policy and the use of professional products designed to minimise the risk of cross-contamination.
What happens during my appointment?
Your skin will first be cleansed and prepared using a pre-wax treatment. The most suitable wax will then be selected for the area being treated. After waxing, a soothing lotion or oil is applied to calm the skin and help reduce irritation.
Will waxing hurt?
Everyone experiences waxing differently, but professional techniques and high-quality waxes are used to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. Many clients find regular waxing becomes more comfortable over time.
What’s the difference between a Brazilian and a Hollywood wax?
A Brazilian wax leaves a strip or triangle of hair at the front, while a Hollywood wax removes all hair. Both treatments include the belly trail and the area between the cheeks.
Can I have waxing if I have sensitive skin?
Yes. Professional waxes with low working temperatures are used, making them suitable for many clients with sensitive skin. If you have any concerns, these can be discussed before your treatment.
Is there a permanent alternative to waxing?
If you’re looking for a more permanent solution to unwanted hair, electrolysis may be suitable. This can also be used alongside waxing treatments.
